About this video

Strength and conditioning coach Toby Jacobi builds a complete in-season football strength and conditioning program, the kind you can run with limited facilities and still keep a roster strong from the opener to the last game. This is the first session in Coach Jacobi's five-part strength and conditioning series, and it covers the planning, the schedule and the numbers behind an in-season S & C program that serves every player on the team, from the freshman walk-on to the fifth-year senior.

What you'll learn

  • The strategy behind a complete in-season S & C program, with team goals and individual goals that work together
  • A full 18-week in-season schedule you can adapt to your own calendar and facilities
  • Sets and reps laid out in detail so you can maximize strength through the season instead of losing it
  • How to scale the same program for younger, less experienced players
  • A lifting and conditioning plan built for pre-hab and injury prevention
  • How to keep an in-season program going when weight room time and equipment are tight

Who it's for

Aimed at high school and college strength coaches, head coaches and position coaches who write the in-season lifting plan themselves. It is just as useful for a program with one rack and a small staff as it is for a full weight room.

About the coach

Toby Jacobi was the head strength and conditioning coach at Charleston Southern University. He got into strength and conditioning while playing college football and coached S & C programs at Cumberland, North Carolina, Elon, Western Carolina and Kent State.

Part one of Coach Jacobi's five-part strength and conditioning series. The session comes with extensive S & C charts you can download after purchase. Runtime: about 43 minutes.
