About this video
Glenn Caruso's Stress Values is a method for quantifying how stressful an offensive formation is to a defense, and it works in any offense. A defense has to cover one of two things: the number of gaps in the formation or the number of zones on the field. By understanding Stress Value, an offensive coach can choose the formations that maximize the stress on a defense and put his athletes in the best position to succeed. It is a game planning and play calling tool every offensive coach should own.

Does it only apply to Coach Caruso's offense?
No. Stress Value can be used in all offenses, so high school and college coordinators in any system can score their own formations and use the numbers in game planning.
