Play Action To Complement Your Run Game

"To be a good offense you must be able to run the ball; to be an explosive offense you must implement a great play action package." That is how Coach Charlie Stubbs frames this session, and from there he shows what a complete play action passing game looks like - how it ties to the core run package, how it is practiced, how it is protected and when to call it. He also lays out the four team statistics he says decide games: turnover ratio, third down ratio, quarterback sack ratio and explosive play ratio.

About the coach

Charlie Stubbs spent more than 15 years as an offensive coordinator and passing game coordinator at seven Division I-A programs - Oregon State, Memphis, Tennessee-Martin, UNLV, Alabama, Tulsa and Louisville - and was known for explosive, high-powered offenses.
