Linebacker Techniques and Drills for the 3-5-3

The 3-5-3 defense lives or dies with its linebackers, and this session is Taylor Burks' position work for the group that makes the front go. Burks instituted the 3-5-3 at Georgia Military College and coached it there for nearly a decade, and in this video he turns the scheme into individual technique and drill work: how linebackers align, what they key, how they get to the football and how they come off blocks.

About the coach

Taylor Burks instituted the 3-5-3 defense while coaching at Georgia Military College, spending nearly a decade there with the Bulldogs ranked among the nation's top junior college defenses, and he served as the defensive coordinator at Hillwood High School in Nashville.
