About this video
Ron Lynn's session on 8-man fronts is a defensive coordinator's catalog: 13 different fronts, each one diagrammed with alignment, technique, responsibility and adjustment for every defender. Lynn coordinated NFL defenses for more than a decade, and he teaches these fronts as a connected system rather than a pile of unrelated calls, so a staff can add pressure and disguise without retraining the front seven. This is the first session of his four-part defensive series.
What you'll learn
- A total of 13 different 8-man fronts, each one fully diagrammed
- Detailed alignment and technique for every player in every front
- Responsibilities and adjustments against run to, run away and pass
- The specific stunts and slants built into each scheme

- The Cardinal (Tight 3), Eagle Snake, Eagle Fox and Eagle Rat
- Strike/Lock, Eagle Down Gold, Tight Soy, Crow and Falcon
Who it's for
High school and college defensive coordinators, defensive line and linebacker coaches who want a menu of 8-man front structures taught with consistent rules instead of a single base call.

Frequently asked questions
Which fronts does Coach Lynn actually install?
Thirteen 8-man fronts in all, including the Eagle ZTF (Zone the Formation), Cardinal or Tight 3, Eagle Snake, Eagle Fox, Eagle Rat, Strike/Lock, Eagle Down Gold, Tight Soy, Crow and Falcon, each with its stunts and slants.
What kind of coach gets the most out of it?
Defensive coordinators and front-seven coaches at the high school and college levels. Because every front is taught by alignment, technique and run-to, run-away and pass responsibility, you can lift individual structures into an existing defense.
